Innovation Norway is a state-owned company and a national development bank. The company's programs and services are intended to stimulate entrepreneurship in Norway. Its head office is in Oslo, and an office in each of the Norwegian counties. It also has offices in 30 countries around the world. Innovation Norway is involved in the EEA and Norway Grants within the areas of business development and innovation. The EEA and Norway Grants are Norway's contribution to levelling social disparities and strengthening cooperation in Europe. Through these grants, Norway provides approx. 300 million euro in support to businesses in 15 countries across Europe, including more than 20 million euro in Slovakia in the current financing period. Innovation Norway cooperates closely with the Slovak Research Agency which is the operator of the programme. The support aims to increase competitiveness in Slovak businesses with a focus on the green transition as well as cooperation with Norwegian businesses or research institutes.
Innovation Norway facilitates partnerships between Slovak and Norwegian entities. We cooperate with the Slovak Research Council to provide funding for Slovak businesses including funding to cooperate with a partner in Norway.
